However, the final result depends on the starting shade. On level 8 hair or darker, Aubergine may create a softer tonal result. Therefore, always check the colour guide and complete a strand test before full application.

Aubergine is also suitable for creating a red balayage. First, apply Aubergine to the roots to create a deep shadow-root effect.

Then, approximately one-third of the way down the hair, blend it into a lighter red shade using a brush. Cyclamen or Ruby Rouge can be used to create contrasting, blended ends.

To refresh the colour between applications, mix a few drops of Aubergine with a colour-care conditioner. Leave the conditioning mask on the hair for a few minutes to help refresh the purple tones.
